Cleanup is evaluated before it is accepted
The practice is not designed around large rescue projects or years of neglected bookkeeping. If a prospective client's books need attention, the scope is reviewed first to determine whether it can be completed cleanly without compromising the recurring monthly schedule.
Examples of onboarding work
- Reviewing the current bookkeeping file and account structure.
- Confirming bank and credit-card accounts that need reconciliation.
- Organizing a transition into the recurring monthly workflow.
- Addressing a limited backlog or clearly defined cleanup issue.
- Establishing digital document delivery and monthly deadlines.
Separately scoped and priced
Setup, conversion, or cleanup before monthly service may carry a one-time fee based on the actual condition and complexity of the books. Large forensic projects, years-long catch-up work, and chronically disorganized paper records may be referred elsewhere.
